ABOUT ME
I am a stylist and creative director based in London, who has been developing their signature style since studying BA Fashion Styling and Production at The London College of Fashion. Irregardless of how it has changed and over-time become more cultivated, I find that my styling work always in some way plays with layering, experimental shapes, mixed textures or repeated patterns. Both my styling and creative direction projects have been visually informed by colour theory as I often work within a set colour scheme for each project or at least per image/look. I think that there is safety to the eye of the audience in a set colour palette which in turn allows me to explore more with other visual elements and still remain a balanced image overall.
I am often influenced by historical references, particularly after studying my MA in Queer History at Goldsmiths University, by film, by art, by literature. I believe that a constant consumption of 'the arts' in general is what inspires me, has developed my taste, my vision and individual voice, is what both fuels and drives me as a creative.
Some of my work is shaped by casting, in particularly queer casting. I am skilled in exploring and developing personal style with an individual and know how to sometimes exaggerate or sometimes refine for an editorial context, in a way that is respectful and understanding to personal or identity-based boundaries. This ability definitely developed through my experience with musical artists and performers, in addition to my work on the fashion platform Dyke Digital, in which I founded in 2018. Dyke digital is a platform with the aim to supply high-quality fashion imagery and commentary that resonates with its community and explores visually what we wear and why we wear it, along side providing a space for dyke creatives to work on projects that explore their identity and interests. Over the years, I have contributed to various fashion publications, styled several music videos and motion image productions. I have worked directly with numerous brands, designers, companies and organisations in addition to having communicated with a range of PR agencies and both small and large scale productions. I am deeply invested and a successful communicator in any role I take on and am keen to work with and collaborate with more people and new teams.
